Our mission here at K9 House Call, is to help every dog owner we can, to build a better, lasting relationship with their dog. We believe that results matter, and speak for themselves. Please read below to learn more about our trainers.
I’m Levi May, founder, co-owner and head trainer of K9 House call. I grew up in rural Kansas where dogs really are man’s best friend. My family professionally bred and trained AKC registered Beagles, Poodles, and Labrador Retrievers. My training skills and methods have been developed through years of exposure and hands on training with many other professional trainers. That same training I hope to pass to you. After serving for a time in the military and a mission for the LDS church in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, I moved to Provo, UT to attend BYU. After getting married, having 2 children, graduating with degree in history, and getting an office job, the love of dogs remained unchanged. Having worked with dogs all my life, I have real world experience with numerous issues and all temperaments of dogs. I can tell you that there is almost nothing that beats the unwavering loyalty of a dog that has chosen you as a best friend. Thank you for visiting our website, and please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions that you may have.
My name is Steve Trotter, co-owner of K9 House Call, and I also grew up in Kansas; a very small farming community of about 2000 residents. My years of living on a farm and working at my uncles Veterinary Clinic enabled me the opportunity to work with virtually every breed of canine, and allowed me to work with professional trainers. These experiences have helped me to develop the skills that I have today. I love and respect all animals, but dogs definitely top the list. From my very first dog (a mixed breed) to my loyal German Shepherd that I have now, each pet has made a lasting impression. Having served a full time mission for the LDS church in Salt Lake City (of all places), I decided to settle down there, and ended up in Provo, where I currently live with my wife and 2 yr old son. Living in a city is quite different from the farm where I grew up, so I have learned to cherish every minute that I can spend working with and training dogs. So, give our experience a try, and call us today!
I’m Stacie Bailey, dog obedience instructor and dog trainer.
I have earned a dog obedience trainer / instructor diploma from Penn Foster Career School. I have also earned an accreditation in positive reinforcement training from PetSmart, and I am an American Kennel Club approved Canine Good Citizen evaluator. I have two years experience teaching in a group class setting, and over 5 years experience teaching private training lessons. I’ve encountered all kinds of dogs from Afghan to Yorkie. My training techniques are based on mutual respect and clear communication between human and canine. I want your dog to obey you he or she respects you and knows he can trust you as his pack leader and provider. Your dog should not fear you.
I voluntarily provide foster care for homeless dogs for Lost Paws and for the Community Animal Welfare Society (CAWS). While homeless dogs are in my care, I evaluate their temperament and provide any training necessary to help those dogs become adoptable family members.
I am a mother of two little girls, and a wife to a man who is very patient and understanding about my love of dogs. Dogs have always been regarded as members of our family, not just “pets.” I have learned so much from dogs about unconditional love, forgiveness and loyalty. In return I want to help dogs learn to live with us in the human society we’ve established.
